Learning about the role computers and technology play in the lives of learners is an eye opener. The computer is a tool that a learner can not only learn from but can also share with it there knowledge and experience.

Great point about computers being a tool! Technology is a powerful tool, rather than the end product, in helping us achieve our goals and dreams. As Jonassen, Howland, Marra, & Crismond (2008) tell us...it's all about learning with technology rather than from it. Good luck!
